In July 2024, the workshop educated attendees about the importance of cybersecurity and how to safeguard their businesses from online threats. In August, the workshop focused on business certifications, and the September 2024 workshop will focus on marketing and branding.

We sponsor these workshops to inform and provide actionable insights for our fellow business owners. In a previous session hosted by Gallagher's Jen Tadin, Global Small Business practice leader, we asked attendees, "Why did you want to become a small business owner?" The notion of helping the community, especially the underprivileged, is what also motivated La Taunya Green to start Unfamiliar Blessings — "an organization that provides specialized survival necessity kits to unhoused communities, transitional facilities, domestic violence shelters, and schools."
